I would say the strangest part of my job is working on the magazine when the seasons aren’t lined up.
More specifically, compiling all of the content for our summer issue when there was still snow on the ground.
I tell you, it’s tough to think of patio parties and sipping on sangria’s when I still haven’t packed away my winter boots.
I usually surround myself in cookbooks and other magazines that are very summery to help me get into backyard barbecue mode.
Once I’m immersed, it’s all good, and the ideas and recipes just start to flow.
To wit, you’ll get a gander of all of the outstanding summery recipes in our next issue, which should be hitting your local liquor marts across Western Canada in the next couple of days.
From a bevy of delicious cocktails that feature the tropical flavour of Elderflower liqueur to hangar steak recipes and more, you’re going to love this issue.
